Description
BPC‑157 (“Body Protection Compound,” 15 amino acids) is a lab‑made fragment of a protein found in human gastric juice. In animal and cell studies it appears cytoprotective (helps shield tissues) and pro‑healing across the gut, muscle, tendon/ligament, skin, and nerves. It is not FDA‑approved and is banned in sport. Human evidence is limited; most data come from preclinical research.
