Description
NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a vitamin‑B3–derived coenzyme present in every cell. It’s not a peptide. NAD+ shifts between oxidized (NAD+) and reduced (NADH) forms to run hundreds of metabolic reactions. Clinics offer IV/IM NAD+ for energy and recovery claims, but it is not FDA‑approved for any disease indication. By contrast, oral precursors like niacin, nicotinamide, NR, and NMN are used to raise cellular NAD+.
